AFCS aims to minimize the effects of Covid19 in the elderly and vulnerable population as a consequence of the isolation suffered and the consequences of loneliness, through music and art high-impact actions. AFCS will recruit a minimum of 96 youngsters to develop 12 Volunteering Team Projects during 36 months to support local musicians and create a swing band that will offer concerts in elderly and vulnerable houses and other institutions. We are aware that loneliness has created an increase of senile dementia, reduction on mobility, depression, and dependency on vulnerable population. These concerts will actually become not only an entertainment event but also a chance for the dissemination of healthy practices with the support of the main regional Hospital, Imed Hospitales. Information disseminated will help to combat the emotional deterioration produced by the long isolation after the Covid 19. We will also encourage local Lindy Hopper associations to participate in such events in order to create strong emotional bonds between people of different generations through dance since the dancers will actually invite residents to dance with them. The activities will also include the creation of several murals on different walls donated by the City Councils of La Marina, Alicante, to express and make visible the health topic tackled in this project and remember our elders. An APV plus other complementary activities will be planned to increase the quality of the project, guarantee the support of the volunteers, monitor, evaluate and very especially disseminate the results of the project. These will include online coach-trainings for youngsters to learn about mental effects of isolation and music and art technics to develop a short-term music/artistic event. Also, an open day session will be organized together with the support of Imed Hospitales. The recruitment and managment of the volunteers will be done with the support of The Alliance of European Voluntary Service
