Grassroots football is all sport that is non-professional and non-elite. This includes, but is not limited to, children's football, schools and youth football, amateur football, football for disabled players, football for veterans and walking football. The main aim of the grassroots system is also to develop football from the local level and offer anybody from across the Europe the chance to participate in an area close to their location. The main objective of our project is to support the competences and facilitate the activities of young volunteer managers of grassroots football clubs. In response to these challenges, the 8 partcipating regional football federations, will develop innovative Grassroots Leadership Programme for young football volunteers, with the aim to develop theis skills and motivation to define the development of European grassroots football in the near future. The long-term goal of our project is to support the strategic plans all European grassroots football clubs and federations.
