Description
Description | The EU4JUST-RE project aims to advance Moldova’s integration into the European legal framework by fostering knowledge, research, and best practices in consumer rights protection, mediation as an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanism, and legal innovation, aligning with EU values and policies. It addresses the critical need to modernize Moldova’s legal system in line with EU Directive on ADR for consumer disputes and Regulation on online dispute resolution (ODR), fostering legal innovation and improving access to justice. The EU4JUST-RE project addresses these gaps by promoting interdisciplinary education, research, and policy dialogue to reinforce consumer rights protection and mediation practices in line with EU values and legal frameworks. The project’s overall objective is to contribute to the dissemination and integration of EU policies on consumer protection and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) by equipping students, academics, policymakers, business professionals, and civil society with the necessary knowledge and tools. Through interdisciplinary teaching, research, and outreach, EU4JUST-RE aims to increase public awareness of mediation, strengthen policy alignment with EU consumer protection standards. The project’s innovation lies in its multidisciplinary approach, bridging law, business, economics, and public administration to promote EU-aligned mediation practices by legal innovation (ODR and ECC-net). The expected impact includes enhancing EU studies in Moldova, increasing awareness of consumer rights and ADR mechanisms, strengthening the legal and institutional framework for mediation, and fostering policy dialogue between academia, public authorities, and businesses. The main outputs include 6 courses, 1 training for legal professionals, 4 scientific articles, 3 policy briefs,1 textbook,1 regulation and a range of conferences, roundtables, workshops, and study visits to promote EU consumer protection policies and engage diverse stakeholders. |
