Description | The Abadi LNG project involves exploiting over 10 trillion cubic feet of gas reserves from the Abadi field on the Masela production sharing contract. It includes a new 9.5 million tonnes per annum LNG facility on the remote Tanimbar Islands and 150 million cubic feet per day of gas for the local market. Inpex has launched a key tender for inspection services for the deepwater mobile offshore drilling unit (MODU) for the development drilling campaign, which includes a condition survey, HSE review, and interface engineering. The project aims for a final investment decision in 2027, with production start-up expected in the 2030s. |
