Description | The Abadi LNG project in the Masela Block is a National Strategic Project in Indonesia's energy sector, operated by Japan's INPEX Corporation through its subsidiary INPEX Masela Ltd. It is planned to produce up to 9.5 million tons of liquefied natural gas annually, along with condensate and natural gas. The project includes an investment of around US$21 billion, including US$1 billion for carbon capture and storage technology, and aims to allocate 60% of gas output for domestic use and 40% for export. It is expected to create around 12,000 jobs during construction and support Indonesia's energy security and transition to cleaner energy. |
