Description | Aboitiz was planning the development of the 11.5 MW Tamugan hydropower plant, near Davao City. The project was originally designed as a 27.5MW plant, but scaled down to 19MW, then to 11.5MW. Project company was Hedcor Tamugan, Inc. In February 2011, the developer announced it expected to start construction after completion of the Tudaya expansion plants of the existing Sibulan hydropower plant. Expected to be completed between 2012-2014. Originally expected to become operational in 2010, the project received RE tax credits, including income tax holiday and duty-free importation of capital equipment. The expected offtaker was Davao Light and Power Company, the distribution utility of Davao City.
