Description | The project involves the construction of the Giza waste-to-energy plant located in Abu Rawash, Egypt. The plant will have the capacity to process 1,200 tonnes of municipal waste into 30MW of power. The sponsor of the project is a local consortium Renergy Group Partners LLC which consists of Egypt's National Organisation for Military Production (NOMP), Green Tech Egpyt and OAK Holding. The total value of the project is $120 million. The sponsor signed a 25 year PPA with Egypt's Ministry of Environment in April 2023.
