Description
Description | Palestinian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) face significant challenges in securing international funding, managing large-scale projects, and incorporating European project management methodologies into their curricula. The absence of structured training programs and limited access to practical grant-writing experience hinder Palestinian universities from effectively participating in European-funded initiatives like Erasmus+. Academia4EU seeks to bridge this gap by equipping faculty members, researchers, and administrative staff with the necessary knowledge and practical skills in European project management. By fostering collaboration among local and European institutions, the project aims to strengthen institutional capacities, promote best practices, and facilitate cross-border cooperation. The project is structured around five core objectives. First, it will develop and implement a specialized training curriculum tailored to the needs of Palestinian HEIs. Second, it will establish a Pilot Academy for European Project Management, offering hands-on training through real-case project simulations. Third, Academia4EU will enhance institutional capacity by integrating European project management courses into the curricula of at least three Palestinian universities. Fourth, it will develop an open-access digital learning platform, providing long-term scalability and accessibility to training materials. Finally, the project will increase the participation rate of Palestinian universities in Erasmus+ and other European funding programs, ensuring that faculty and researchers have the necessary competencies and resources to engage in international projects. Academia4EU will be implemented through a strategic partnership between universities and organizations from Palestine, Spain, and Italy. |
