Accelerate digitalization in the energy sector

The main objective of the Technical Cooperation (TC) is to contribute to the region to increase the levels of digitization in the energy sector. A more digitalized energy sector will contribute to a faster decarbonization and energy transition. The specific objectives are: (i) to support governments and utilities to develop digitization strategies in order to be more efficient and provide better services; (ii) to provide cybersecurity training to managers and regulators as well as technicians and operators; (iii) support the region in the use of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science to accelerate energy efficiency and better manage the electricity demand; (iv) to increase knowledge and use of blockchain in the region; (v) to improve the use and collection of sector data on digitization issues and include them in the Energy HUB; (vi) to disseminate and share among the region all the technical and practical knowledge generated in the division and with this TC.
