Description
Description | The overall objective of the project is to create a corridor of alternative fuel infrastructure of electricity fast-charging stations on the TEN-T road network, in existing refueling stations, in Romania, Hungary and Slovakia and thereby not only enable EV charging itself but provide the EV drivers with full range of services and comfort. The project is considered a Project of common interest as it contributes to the development of the TEN-T core corridors as the Rhine-Danube, Mediterranean, and the Orient/East-Med in Romania, Hungary and Slovakia. The specific objectives of the proposal are: 1. The rollout of publicly accessible EV recharging stations dedicated to light-duty vehicles, with a power of 300kW, each one equipped with 2 recharging points with a minimum power output of 150 kW, along the TEN-T network in Romania, Hungary and Slovakia 2. The installation of Grid connections with a minimum power capacity of 600kVA. The objectives will be achieved with the deployment of 204 ultra-fast DC recharging stations of 300 kW in 98 existing locations across the TEN-T road network. Each recharging station will have the capacity to recharge 2 EV’s at the same time through 2 connectors of minimum power of 150 kW each and will have 2 dedicated parking spots. As a result, there will be installed throughout Romania, Hungary and Slovakia a total number of: • 408 recharging points with a minimum recharging capacity of 150 kW. • 98 grid connections of minimum 600 kVA. The relevance of the project is that it contributes to the development of the trans-European transport network through the creation of new alternative transport infrastructure regarding the core network future-oriented mobility system and accessible for all users. Therefore, the project contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, while enabling long-distance driving with electric vehicles. |
