Accelerating Youth Employment and the Green Skills Transition

The overall objective is to support the Ministry of Skills Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and state-level skills agencies to better position the skills system as an enabler towards improving youth employment outcomes and harnessing the untapped potential of India's youth dividend to drive the country's clean energy transition. The proposed TA aims to (i) establish baseline knowledge on the impact of the clean energy and -just-transitions on technologies, job roles and skills; (ii) enhance the youth entrepreneurship ecosystem for better enterprise development and job creation within the green economy; and, (iii) build capacity of skills agencies to implement-green skills-through applying innovative practices and technology solutions.
