Description | The project will consist of upgrades to the Central Memorial Recreation Centre and the Bennetto Centre in Hamilton, Ontario. The work will involve replacing various elevator components at the Central Memorial Recreation Centre such as wiring and control systems, cabin interior, fixtures, door equipment, car and hall button panels, and the valve, pump and tank. The project will also consist of upgrades to the auditorium at the Bennetto Centre including the addition of a new, universal washroom, accessible seating, and the construction of an exterior, accessible ramp with emergency access. The project will enable the City of Hamilton to improve quality of service at its community centres through increased reliability and accessibility. |
