Accessibility Improvements on Routes 1, 2, 3 & 5

Currently, routes 1, 2, 3 and 5 are wheelchair accessible routes. In 2015, all shelters on these routes were renovated and modified to be wheelchair accessible. As wheelchair accessible buses are purchased and entered into the fleet, additional routes will be added. This $1 million will fund the cost to modify the remaining shelters throughout the transit system to be wheelchair accessible. The funding will also cover the cost to install sidewalks in six areas in the City on these four routes requiring sidewalks for accessibility, as well as concrete pads on identified bus stops to deploy the bus ramp.
