The proposed investment involves an up to 7-year green and sustainability-linked corporate loan of up to $600 million to Acciona Financiación Filiales S.A., a wholly owned financing vehicle of Acciona, S.A. (the “Sponsor”). The investment includes $250 million for IFC’s own account and $356 million in mobilization through B1 and/or Parallel Loans. The use of IFC proceeds under the First Tranche ($380 million) will go to a subproject in Brazil: Metro Line 6 in Sao Paulo (15 km underground metro line with 15 stations, currently ~56% complete, expected to begin partial operations in October 2026 - Linha Uni is the concessionaire company), and three power transmission subprojects in Peru: a) Reque–Carhuaquero Transmission Line (RCTL): A 79 km 220kV line in northern Peru (encompassing a new substation (Nueva Carhuaquero), expansion of the existing Reque substation, as well as bypasses for the Cajamarca Norte–Carhuaquero and Nueva Carhuaquero–Chiclayo Oeste transmission lines (TLs)); b) Ica–Poroma Transmission Line (IPTL): A 145 km 220kV line in Ica Department (encompassing the expansion of two existing substations (Ica and Poroma), the construction of a new substation (Intermedia), as well as bypasses for the Ica-Marcona TL); and c) SE Nueva Tumbes Substation (Tumbes): Expansion of an existing substation and ~2 km 60 kV distribution line. The use of IFC proceeds under the Second Tranche ($226 million) will go to two power transmission subprojects in Peru: a) Hub Poroma Transmission Line (HPTL): A 93 km 500kV line in Ica Department (encompassing two new substations (Hub Poroma and Colectora)); and b) Hub Marcona Transmission Lines (HMTL): Four TLs with a total distance of 156 km, including two 138 kV lines located in the Ica Department and two 60 kV lines in the Ica and Arequipa Departments, (encompassing three new substations (SE Marcona II, SE San Isidro, and SE San Pampa), and expansion of two existing substations (SE Bella Unión and SE Chala)). HPTL and HMTL are expected to begin construction in early 2027 and commercial operations are expected to begin in late 2028.
