Acquisition of 42 electric buses

The project involves the acquisition of 42 12-metre electric buses that will be rechargeable in the garage, which will contribute to the Société de transport de Lévis’ (STL) objective of reducing greenhouse gases. These buses will include a low floor, an access ramp for people in wheelchairs, as well as an accommodation for people with disabilities. This project is part of a public call for tenders for a group purchase of up to 1,229 electric buses for ten public transit organizations (OPTC). Of the 1,229 buses, 42 are for the STL and funding for these buses is requested in this project. The project will improve the capacity, quality and safety of the transit infrastructure by adding 42 new electric buses.
