Description | The project involves the acquisition of 100% of Vientos de Arauco Renovables S.A.U. (VAR), which operates Arauco II Wind Farm stage 1 and 2, located in Arauco, province of La Rioja, Argentina. VAR is a subsidiary of Parque Eólico Arauco (PEA) which is co-owned by the provincial government of La Rioja and the country's state utility Enarsa. The wind farm has a gross installed capacity of 99.75MW and the buyer is Pampa Energía S.A. The plant's energy is sold under a 20-year power purchase agreement with RenovAr since March 2020.
