Description | Savannah Energy PLC's wholly owned subsidiary, Savannah Energy EA Limited, signed a Share Purchase Agreement to acquire Norfund's 50.1% interest in Klinchenberg BV, which holds interests in three hydropower projects in East Africa: the operating 255 MW Bujagali run-of-river hydropower plant in Uganda, the planned 361 MW Mpatamanga traditional reservoir hydropower project in Malawi, and the planned 206 MW Ruzizi III run-of-river hydropower project spanning Burundi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Rwanda. The transaction marks Savannah's entry into these countries and is expected to complete no earlier than Q1 2026. |
