Description | Aquatech has acquired Koch Technology Solutions' direct lithium extraction (DLE) business, including the Li-Pro Lithium Selective Sorption (LSS) technology and IP portfolio. This acquisition integrates the Li-Pro LSS technology into Aquatech's PEARL process technology platform, creating a proven end-to-end flowsheet for lithium processing that boosts efficiency, lowers costs, and advances large-scale lithium projects in the US. The acquisition includes ongoing lithium extraction projects and licenses, such as the Joint Development Agreement with Standard Lithium Ltd. in the Smackover Formation and a licensing agreement with Smackover Lithium for the South West Arkansas project, targeting first production in 2028. |
