Description
Description | Aruba acquired three fully operational run-of-river hydroelectric plants along the Stura di Lanzo in the province of Turin, located in Cafasse, Balangero, and Lanzo Torinese. These century-old plants, commissioned in 1922 and 1923, were originally built to power paper mills and looms. The acquisition increases Aruba's owned hydroelectric fleet to 11 plants with approximately 11.6 MW installed capacity and annual production above 60 GWh across four regions in Italy. The electricity generated is fed into Italy's national grid, and Aruba uses a compensation mechanism to credit self-produced volumes against its data centre power consumption, enhancing its renewable energy share. |
