Project
Ongoing

The main objective of this project is to implement a reliable network of publicly accessible Hydrogen Refuelling Stations (HRS) for light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles to supply hydrogen along the TEN-T road networks in Spain. The objective will be achieved with the deployment of 20 HRS at 350 and 700 bar, fully operational and 24/7 available for users. These stations will be strategically located

Description

Description

The main objective of this project is to implement a reliable network of publicly accessible Hydrogen Refuelling Stations (HRS) for light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles to supply hydrogen along the TEN-T road networks in Spain. The objective will be achieved with the deployment of 20 HRS at 350 and 700 bar, fully operational and 24/7 available for users. These stations will be strategically located at key urban nodes and transport corridors, ensuring wide coverage and accessibility. To optimise costs and accelerate deployment, the project will leverage existing service station infrastructure, minimising capital and operational expenditure and streamlining permitting processes. The stations will meet current and future demand for hydrogen mobility, in line with EU decarbonisation strategies such as the European Green Pact, the Alternative Fuels Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR) and the Fit for 55 package. The project is backed by a solid financial structure, combining private investment, institutional loans and a CEF grant, ensuring its long-term viability and sustainability. It will enhance the hydrogen ecosystem by fostering innovation, interoperability and cross-border connectivity within the Atlantic and Mediterranean corridors.
