Activ Solar was planning the development of the 105.6 MW Perovo solar PV plant, in Perovo, Crimea. The project was planned to comprise 88,000 modules, producing 26.5 GWh annually. Activ Solar Holding GmbH was an Austrian developer with a number of local Ukrainian subsidiaries and SPVs: Crimea Solar 1, Crimea Solar 2, Crimea Solar 3, Crimea Solar 4, and Crimea Solar 5, as well as solar PV producer CHAO Zavod poluprovodnikov Zaporozhye (75%) and silicon producer OJSC Semiconductor Plant (a demerger of former-Soviet ZTMC). Ownership Activ Solar Holding GmbH, formally owned by Liechtenstein registered P&A Corporate Trust, was a sister company of Slav AG. As of November 2011, CEO of Activ Solar was Mr. Kaveh Ertefai. Commissioning was expected in 2011. The initial 20 MW was announced as the first phase and formally registered as OOO Omao Solar. This project was one of three projects under development by Activ Solar in 2011, the other two being the 7.5 MW Rodnikovoye and the 60 MW Ohotnikovo solar PV plants. Production license was announced in July 2011, for 20 years. The land was leased for 49 years. The Ukraine passed a Feed-in Tarrif bill in April 2009. The bill also included a minimum euro-denominated electricity price intended to mitigate exchange rate risk, as well as a domestic-content obligation. The project was compelted in December 2011. Total project size reached 105.56MW and consisted of 440,000 PV modules producing 132.5GWh annually. As of October 2011, no details about the financial structure of the projects was available. The project was reported as having 30-40% of total cost in equity. The remainder in debt funded by VTB Bank OJSC (BTBR) and Sberbank of Russia (SBER).
