Description

Description

The planned project is to expand the pedestrian sidewalk on Sunset Drive. The installation of 422 m (.5km) of concrete sidewalk will be added to extend the sidewalk starting at 64 Sunset Drive up to 128 Sunset Drive. The installation of 422 meters of concrete sidewalk, rebars and wired mesh where necessary will be required. (the lighting component will be excluded). The objective of the project is to provide increased access to a safe walking area on Sunset Drive which is a main road to access major institutions and local businesses such as a convenience store, garage, Access PEI, postal and financial services, childcare facilities and the local Royal Canadian Legion. The road is extremely busy during the year and a pedestrian sidewalk will allow residents and visitors to use the sidewalk for exercise, family physical activity and increased circulation for pedestrian and bicycles.
