Description | Twinning work programme and exchange of good practices between two small municipalities in Aragon (El Frago - O Frago) and Sardinia (Baradili) on innovative responses to depopulation and economic decline through culture, resilience, quality of life, sustainability and gender equality in rural areas. Objectives: -To strengthen cultural ties between two European peoples with a common history: Sardinia and Aragon. -To promote cooperation and exchange of good practices between two small rural communities facing depopulation, loss of cultural assets, economic decline, gender inequality and climate change. Activities: -Preparatory video meetings on the topics of common interest. -Exchange trips. -Video evaluation meetings. -Setting up of future collaboration formulas. Beneficiaries: it is an intergenerational project with a special emphasis on older people, women and youth as assets for socially and environmentally sustainable development. Expected results: -Mutual learning of best practices to address challenges common to both municipalities. -Promotion of energy, environmental, tourism and economic sustainability projects. -Preservation of the cultural heritage and social cohesion. -To value the decisive role of women and young people in the definition and implementation of local development projects. -To ensure the continuity of the collaboration between Baradili and El Frago for future projects. Outputs: 1. Increased local capacities to address innovative development projects in tiny towns that address energy transition, cultural heritage, gender equality and holistic development of these communities. 2. Rebalancing of the demographic pyramid and maintenance or increase of the population by the creation of new job opportunities. 3. Full incorporation of women into innovation and local leadership roles. 4. Creation of structures for continuity of cooperation. 5. Enhanced cooperation between Sardinia and Aragon. |
