Active Transportation Projects

The project will: renew eight multi-use pathways; build three new multi-use pathways; install two new bike facilities and two new pedestrian signals; renew five sidewalks; upgrade one full intersection with full (all-way) traffic control signals; install nine new pedestrian crossovers and eight new picnic facilities; enhance wayfinding signage in the Byward Market; construct new cycling and pedestrian facilities, multi-use pathways, sidewalks, and complete sidewalk renewal work in multiple locations across the City. The project will support active lifestyles, improve safety, increase connectivity and support active transportation.
