ACWA Bash wind farm

This project consists of construction of a 500 MW wind farm in Gijduvon District of Uzbekistan and development of a 162 km single circuit 500 kV Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL). The project company is ACWA Power Bash Wind LLC, fully owned by ACWA Power, which has entered into a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with JSC ‘National Electric Grids of Uzbekistan. Total investment stands at $690 million, provided by the following lenders: ADB ($75 million loan), EBRD (an A loan of $150 million on the EBRD’s own account and a B loan of $127 million, syndicated to commercial lenders), DEG, part of KfW ($30 million) and French Development Agency Proparco ($40 million). This project is planned to be operated under the "Build, Own, Operate, Transfer" model.
