Adapting Environmental Economics Curricula within the EU context (AEEC-EU) project, aims to be a key instrument for building of knowledge, skills and attitudes on environmental policies, climate change and sustainable development in accordance with EU strategies and priorities, bringing together university students, academic staff, civil society, government and private institutions operating in the field of environmental issues and EU integration. The primary output of the project will be the reviewed and adapted cycle of lectures on Environmental Economics in accordance with the EU universities’ programs. The subject will be taught to the students of the last year of economics studies (bachelor studies), including three chapters of this subject related with the EU standards to be taught at master level at the European Union Integration and Economics of Development subjects. Per each chapter will be prepared a teaching material package including key studies and continuously experts on environmental issues, EU integration and sustainable economic development will be invited at open lectures to share their expertise. Students will have to independently engage on working papers on one of the topics related to the initiatives taken by the EU in the framework of the relation between environmental issues and sustainable economic development. On the other hand, staff members will actively participate at the annual conference organised by the Faculty of Economy, sharing their research papers related to environmental issues and sustainable economic development in accordance with the EU standards and policies. In order to share the project outputs with the beneficiaries and encourage debates regarding the environmental issues and how they are related with the sustainable economic development, there will be organised summer school with representatives of at least from 6 different universities in Albania, round tables with group of interest and also a specific website.
