Description

Main objective : The SELF EFFICACY project aims to gather information on young people's self-efficacy by conducting an International Literature Review on the subject. Self efficacy -or belief in one’s own competence- is a term created by Canadian psychologist Albert Bandura. It can be defined as “people's beliefs about their capabilities to produce designated levels of performance that exercise influence over events that affect their lives”. This project aims to address the lack of information on self-efficacy by conducting an International Literature Review on the subject. Then, the partners plan to share their results with public authorities in charge of young people and teenage services of the eligible zone, via an information and educational guide in the field of sexual and affective education. Main actions : - International Literature Review to study the way in which the self-efficacy theory has been used, developed and criticised. Partners in the Somme will be responsible for exploring evidence available from french speaking countries while Kent partners will review evidence from English speaking countries. - Writing of a report containing recommendations specific to Kent and Somme - Writing and disseminating of a bilingual report to the main stakeholders and relevant policy officers.
