Description	The Somalian government cancelled its contract with SKA Air & Logistics, a Dubai-based company specialized in operating in conflict zones. The ten-year contract had been concluded in 2010 by the then President, but was never put before Parliament for approval. Operations were put into the hands of a Turkish consortium in March 2013. The consortium was to build, rehabilitate, operate, and transfer the airport, by taking over operations, starting building works, and also providing security. The contract was valued at $10 million for the new passenger terminal. It followed an agreement between the Turkish transport ministry and its Somalian counterpart. The consortium consisted of Favori LLC, a subsidiary of Cetim Group (Turkey) and the firm Kardesler Yapi San, which is a subsidiary of the group owned by Adem Kozuva.
