The project involves the redevelopment of Nashik Municipal Corporation’s existing truck terminus at Adgaon into a modern, integrated logistics and transport hub under a public-private partnership model. The plan includes constructing organised parking for hundreds of trucks along with supporting facilities such as workshops, weighbridges, warehousing and storage areas, driver accommodation, commercial spaces, and improved internal roads and landscaping, to ease heavy-vehicle congestion within Nashik city and upgrading freight infrastructure ahead of major events like the 2027 Kumbh Mela. The scheme is structured on a design-build-finance-operate-maintain (DBFOM) basis, with a long-term concession period followed by transfer back to the civic body.
