Description | Advance Agro Public Co. Ltd. has developed a 56.7-MW waste-to energy power plant at Si Maha Phot, Pra Chin Buri. Financing was obtained, in part, through a sale of Advance Agro Public Co. Ltd. shares on the Bankgok stock exchange in January 1995. The plant, currently in operation, uses rice husks and wood chips as fuel and sells 16.865-MW of power to the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) under the Small Power Producers (SPP) Program. The PPA was signed on January 31, 1995 and has been selling power to EGAT as of December 10, 1995. EGAT signed a "non-firm" contract with the project company.
