Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA)

Planned

The Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) is an indigenous fifth-generation fighter plane project approved by India. The project execution model has been approved by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and will be undertaken by the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA) of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The project aims to enhance India's indigenous defence capabilities and foster a robust domestic aerospace industrial ecosystem. The ADA will issue an expression of interest (EoI) for the development phase, marking the first steps towards developing the AMCA prototype. The aircraft is envisioned to have stealth capabilities, putting India in the league of select nations with such technology.
