Advanced Research and Test (ART) Reactor Project

The ART Reactor project is an advanced microreactor deployment initiative by NuCube Energy and Idaho State University under the U.S. Department of Energy's Nuclear Energy Launch Pad USA program. The project aims to site the ART Reactor on Idaho State University's Pocatello campus to serve as a platform for operator training, academic research, and commercialization of next-generation nuclear systems. The reactor is designed to be full-scale relative to its first commercial unit, utilizing TRISO fuel and heat-pipe cooling for passive safety, and aims to streamline licensing and deployment pathways.
