Description
Description | Purpose. This FOA issued by the National Institute of Nursing Research solicits Research Project Grant applications using the R21 mechanism from institutions / organizations that propose to conduct biobehavioral research in palliative and end-of-life care for children, infants, and neonates. Designs and Methods aimed at the reduction of suffering and the improvement of quality of life for children facing life-limiting conditions and their parents, including the sequela of accidents are encouraged. This FOA will utilize the R21 award mechanism and runs in parallel with a FOA of identical scientific scope, RFA-NR-10-006, that encourages applications under the R01 Mechanism. Funds Available and Anticipated Number of Awards. A total of $750K has been committed to this FOA for FY 2010. It is anticipated that 2-3 R21 awards will be funded. |
