Africa-Atlantic Gas Pipeline Morocco Segment

The Morocco section of the Africa-Atlantic Gas Pipeline will stretch 2,220 kilometers, including four compression stations, two receiving terminals, and six temporary construction camps housing up to 1,200 workers each. The pipeline will transport Nigerian natural gas through 13 West African countries to Morocco and onward to European markets. The Moroccan segment includes 1,830 kilometers onshore and 390 kilometers offshore, with a 48-inch diameter pipeline designed to meet current and future demand. The project uses separate Engineering, Procurement, and Construction packages to allow parallel work and shorten the timeline. The offshore section will be buried near the coast and protected with concrete coating, anti-corrosion layers, and cathodic protection, with an estimated operational lifespan of 40 years. The project company will be a joint venture between Morocco's ONHYM and Nigeria's NNPC, leading execution, financing, and construction.
