Description

Description

The African Adolescents Bolstered through Local Evidence (AABLE) project will generate evidence through providing grants for implementation research to support stronger adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASRH) program and policy implementation. The evidence generated will inform the effective implementation of ASRH policies and practices, develop effective strategies to tackle the serious and interrelated challenges faced by adolescents, provide recommendations to address the underlying drivers of poor adolescent health outcomes, and strengthen access to and delivery of respectful, equitable quality services. The project will systematically integrate evidence into existing systems and policy frameworks to ensure that the interventions are not only effective but also sustainable and scalable within the local context. The project aims to enhance the capacity of countries to respond to adolescent sexual and reproductive health needs more effectively and efficiently. AABLE will also support a cadre of national researchers, decision makers, practitioners and implementers, and other thought leaders in African countries to build local capacity to generate, translate, and optimize the use of available evidence to inform context-appropriate and gender transformative implementation strategies that increase the impact of ASRH interventions.
