Africa's First Internationally Certified Welding Centre

completed

Ghana has launched Africa's first American Welding Society (AWS) certified Welder Training and Testing Centre at the Design and Technology Institute (DTI) campus in Accra. The facility includes a 40-booth workshop, digital welding simulators, and a metallurgical training laboratory to train and certify welders to international standards, supporting sectors like oil and gas, mining, power generation, and construction. It aims to reduce dependency on foreign testing and certified welders, enhancing local content development and industrialisation.
