After Dark

The support of Europe Media will allow us to move forward with the development of After Dark, co-produced by On Film Production (Albania) and Origine Films ( France), beneficiaries of the project. The first major development stage will be with the completion of the script, which involves the newly hired Co-writer Marija Apcevska to work alongside the Writer-Director Erenik Beqiri, with a first treatment due end of november and a V3 of the script for march 2022. Then once we co-producers agree and validate that version, we will finalize all the artistic elements before launching the required translations for the different applications in spring and summer 2022. In parallel with that writing stage, we will work on securing a third co-production with an Italian partner to aim at spring/summer 2022 development and production applications as well, with the required translations in Italian if needed. We will look for a potential co-production partner in the Balkans as well, on that same timeline. After that we will focus on our marketing and distribution strategy before hitting the Film Markets at summer Festivals (Cannes, Cinelink..) for first contacts or follow-up meetings with distributors and sales agents. Then summer 2022 we will organize the casting sessions, before starting the location scouting with a local production manager. Fall 2022 we will apply to Eurimages Co-production Fund with all the Co-producers. We aim at a shooting end of 2022 – beginning of 2023.
