Description | In 2006, Aggreko plc signed a two year rental contract with Yemen’s state-owned Public Electricity Corporation for 50 MW of generation capacity. This project was the second project that the government of Yemen had awarded to the company in 2006. The first project was a 50 MW which ran for 2 years and located in the town of Al Hudayah (please refer to Project #4452 for more information on the first project). As of June 2011, the power plant was still operational. (Aggreko was having trouble getting the Empresa Nacional d'Angola, ENA, to pay for the lease of several generators, concerning several months of an annual contract worth several tens of millions of dollars.) |
