Description | Aggreko plc was contracted by the Société de Gestion du Patrimoine du Secteur de l'Électricité (SOGEPE) and the Société d'Opération Ivoirinne d'Électricité (SOPIE) to construct and operate a temporary power station to be installed at the Vridi Canal in Abidjan. The 70MW rental power plant was the largest such plant within Aggreko's portfolio at the time of commmissioning. By June 2010, 90% of the power capacity was installed and commissioned. By August 2010, the plant had fully come online. The estimated value of the contract was about €35 million. Côte d'Ivoire announced in December 2011 that it aims to boost the plant's capacity to 100MW in 2012. Capex numbers calculated according to rental formula. |
