Description | The AGL Electric Vehicle Orchestration Trial project is a large-scale electric vehicle (EV) charging orchestration trial comprising 300 EVs across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. The AGL Electric Vehicle Orchestration Trial project acknowledges that the central scenario of the Australian Energy Market Operator’s 2020 Integrated System Plan assumes that there will be 2.2 million EVs in the National Electricity Market by 2034-35. This increased uptake of EVs has the potential to be a significant challenge for the electricity supply system if not managed carefully. This project aims to accelerate the development of EV charging management and orchestration to realise benefits for customers and the electricity supply system whilst ensuring impacts on the electricity grid are minimised. |
