Description

Description	This project is integral to the Government's structural adjustment program, food security strategy, enhanced export performance, foreign exchange earnings and employment generation. The priority objective is to increase farmer productivity by strengthening operational institutions, establishing systems for managing the extension services and by providing training to facilitate improved delivery of the services. Special attention will also be given to meeting the needs of women farmers. The project will finance incremental extension activities in six of the ten provinces and will comprise four main components : a) reorganization and strengthening of extension structures; b) training; c) adaptive research; and d) seed multiplication.
