Description
Description | With a duration of 12 months and a budget of 223,983.46€ this project aims to bridge the gap in public awareness and understanding of the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) among Italian farmers, advisors, students, and the general public. By addressing misconceptions, fostering informed discussions, and highlighting the CAP’s tangible benefits—such as sustainability, food security, rural development, and climate resilience—the project intends to improve the overall perception and knowledge of the CAP in Italy. Key activities include digital campaigns, peer-to-peer interactions between young farmers and students, and tailored workshops and materials to ensure that stakeholders clearly understand CAP objectives and opportunities. The methodology integrates engaging multimedia materials, participatory initiatives, and robust evaluation processes to measure impact. This approach enables farmers and advisors to navigate CAP regulations more effectively, increases students’ interest in agricultural careers, and cultivates public support for the CAP’s societal contributions. Coldiretti’s deep experience and existing networks ensure a broad reach and lasting impact. Previous IMCAP initiatives by Coldiretti have demonstrated success in increasing CAP knowledge and creating positive, actionable outcomes among participants. This project builds on those strengths, introducing innovative tools and new audiences to reinforce CAP’s role in supporting a sustainable, competitive, and inclusive agricultural sector in Italy. By combining targeted communication, innovative educational formats, and continuous engagement with stakeholders, the project sets a solid foundation for fostering a better understanding of the CAP and its benefits, contributing to a greener, fairer, and more sustainable agricultural future. |
