Description
Description | AgriFuture addresses the urgent need for a green and digital transition in European agricultural vocational education and training (VET) by developing four jointly recognized, EQF-aligned training modules focused on sustainable farming. The project responds to challenges such as low cross-border mobility, outdated curricula, and inadequate recognition frameworks in rural VET by piloting modular learning content in Austria, Hungary, Norway, Türkiye, and Spain. The project's main objectives are to: 1. Co-create four modular VET packages in climate-smart agriculture, aligned with EQF Level 4. 2. Test and validate these modules through immersive Living Lab environments with 30 transnational learners. 3. Digitize and deploy the modules via an AI-supported, multilingual platform that includes certification through European Digital Credentials (EDC). 4. Ensure national recognition and integration into formal systems in at least three countries. AgriFuture follows a six-work-package structure that includes curriculum co-design, pilot implementation, digital delivery, formal recognition, and dissemination. Key activities involve skills needs analysis, transnational mobility, VET teacher training, EDC alignment, and policy roundtables. Expected outputs include four multilingual modules, one digital platform, 30 EDCs issued, five national recognition events, and a sustainability roadmap. This project aligns with the priorities of the European Skills Agenda, the Green Deal, and the Council Recommendation on VET. It brings together VET institutions, ministries, and agricultural innovators to ensure that future farmers acquire the competencies needed for regenerative, tech-enabled, and climate-resilient agriculture. |
