Farmers are often misunderstood as offering limited, isolated and old-fashioned opportunities in rural areas, far removed from today’s technological advances, especially among younger generations. These misconceptions shape the perception of agriculture and rural life in Italy. To address this issue, the AGRI4TECH project aims to reduce the knowledge gap between Italians and their European counterparts when it comes to modern agriculture, focusing on technological innovations and sustainable practices in rural communities. Building on the “AgriNet” projects evolution (2016-2025), AGRINET4TECH is focusing on: +Promoting knowledge of the new CAP framework and its opportunities in Italy, +Correcting misconceptions about the CAP and the role of farmers in modern agriculture, and +Highlighting technological challenges, impact and opportunities of the agri-tech innovations and digitalisation for Italian citizens, farmers and non-farmers, as well as young people. For this, AGRINET4TECH will create the following cross-media elements, mixing traditional and new ways of communication: .10 TV episodes with farmers interviewed for National TV Programme+HBBTV+Apps; .08 Radio Podcasts with farmers interviewed + AI for Radio+Apps; .40 TV News with key actors interviewed for the Regional TVs; .07 Digital News, 90 Digital Post of 10 Stories, 4 Newsletters, 8 TV-Radio Spots, and banners for the Social Media, Websites and E-mails. A National-Regional cross-media network is associated to implement AGRINET4TECH, leading by IE-ICARO TV and conformed by: RETEBLU/TV2000, COAP RADIO ICARO, and CORALLO network, in particular Teleradiopace TV, Telebelluno, TV Libera, TeleNova- Multimedia San Paolo, and TeleClub Italia. This network is technically supported by the University of Venice (IUAV) and covers all the Italian territory, with special intervention in Liguria, Veneto, Toscana, Lombardia, Campania regions and Rimini province.
