The project involves the construction and operation of Agua Clara Wind Farm, a 50-MW wind power plant located in Montecristi. IC Power dr Operations is the project company which is developing the farm. The sponsor behind the project company is Inkia Energy. This is a greenfield project initiated on BOO modality. The facility was awarded to Inkia by the Government of the Dominican Rebulic under a 25-year contract. Project will benefit from a 20-year PPA with the Dominican Republic's Corporation of State-owned Electricity Companies. Total investment in the project is estimated at $110 million and is being funded by debt and equity in 67:33 ratio. Citi Group is administrative agent and lead arranger for the debt financing which totals $73.5 million. The remaining funding of $36.5 million is contributed by the sponsor as equity. Financing closed on March 20, 2018.
