Description | In December 2015, AEGEA Saneamento e Participacoes S.A. (AEGEA), a subsidiary of the Brazilian group Equipav, was awarded the 30-year concession contract to expand, rehabilitate and operate the water and sewerage facilities of Rolim de Moura, located at the state of Rondonia. The contract was awarded by the municipality, and the investments were expected to benefit around 56,242 people. Only AEGEA took part in the bidding process, whose bidding criteria involved technical and commercial criteria. The investment in the project was estimated at US$ 19.3 million (BRL 71.39 million). The special purpose company Aguas de Rolim de Moura was created to lead the project. The contract was signed in December 2015 and operations were commenced in 2016. |
