Description | In November of 2003 the municipalities ofTacaima and Agua de Dios in Cundinamarca Deparment signed a 20 year concession contract with Aguas del Alto Magdalena SA ESP for the operation, rehabilitation and expansion of their water and sewerage services. The concession included investments for US$16 million of which the operator agreed to contribute with US$ 3 million while the remaining was to be funded by the municipal government (US$8 million), departamental government (US$3.8 million) and the national government (US$1.25 million). In 2005 Tacaima had a population of 9,777 inhabitans while Aguas de Dios of 8,839 inhabitants. |
