Description | In August 2006, a consortium formed by Sadbhav Engineering Ltd. and Patel Engineering received the letter of acceptance for a 20 year BOT contract for 76 km Ahmedabad Ring Road in Gujarat state from Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA). The construction was to be completed within 18 months, including a new bridge over the Sabarmati River near village Bhat. The road, when operational, would help reduce congestion in entire Ahmedabad and reduce the distance and commuting time. The project cost was estimated to be R 514 cores (US$124.3 million). The project was funded with a 75/25 debt/equity ratio in 2007. |
