Information Central Railway has come up with Ahmednagar - Beed - Parli - Vaijnath New Broad Gauge Line Railway Project [261.3 km] with a ticket size of 4829.04 INR Crores. This project in Railway Track sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project To boost socio-economic growth of the undeveloped Marathwada region of Maharashtra and to provide improved connectivity, this new line project of 261 km was sanctioned. It aims to connect two existing rail head stations of Ahmednagar [ANG] of Central Railway [CR] and Parali Vaijnath [PV] of South Central railway [SCR]. In January 2010, Government of Maharashtra conveyed the approval of cost sharing on 50-50 basis. The alignment traverses through Ahmednagar - Dhanora - Ashti - Sheekarpur - Raimoh - Beed - Wadwani - Sirsala to Parli Vaijnath lies in Ahmednagar and Beed districts. Sanctioned in 1995-96. Material modification in the scope for electrification approved on 12.06.2020 worth INR 267 crores.
