Description

The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) and the Municipal Corporation of Manesar (MCM) have launched an AI-based road audit project in collaboration with IT firm Nagarro and AI platform Road Athena. The project aims to improve road quality and safety, reduce long-term maintenance costs, and deliver faster, more accurate, and data-driven reports by detecting and classifying road defects using AI and computer vision algorithms. The pilot started in Ward 21 and Ward 27 of Gurugram and will be expanded to cover all major roads and sector streets as part of the Smart City vision.
